20130518-071549.jpgI noticed my shirt was inside out while brushing my teeth the other day and realized this is how life feels right now: the same shape and design only with all the frayed threads exposed. Life in our new home is still coming together. At least, we are all working hard toward that end, rearranging, unpacking, cleaning out, etc. In the meantime, we’re still spending some time outdoors — a constant we’re all craving these days. With 10 people under one roof, new rhythms and routines take time to grow. But they are growing and establishing. And so are we.

Kristen and I took the children to a short road trip to our parent’s house last week. They have the most beautiful trails nearby, long enough for the kids to enjoy wandering into the fields and woods and short enough to accomplish in an afternoon. It was perfect for a midday hike together.

  1. Arkansas has more “sticker grass” than Texas. The pug and I both were glad to return to The Republic.

    1. Thank you, Kaylan! This move has me chasing time, especially online time, but I’m really loving the collaboration! xo
